Employment Liability Insurance

NDEA/NEA provides $1 million of liability insurance protection for its members for any covered claim arising during the course of the insured's educational employment activities.  Coverage includes any acts or omissions alleged to have been committed by the insured or any other person for whose acts the insured is legally liable.  This policy also provides bail bond coverage, protection for assault-related personal property damage, and reimbursement of attorney's fees for defense of criminal charges.

   Call your UniServ director or the North Dakota Education Association (223-0450 or 800-369-6332) immediately if the following situations occur:

• An incident resulting in the death of a student or any injury requiring medical attention for the student as a result of a school activity.
• The receipt of a notice of claim, lien letter from any attorney, or service of summons or lawsuit by the insured.
• Any situation the insured believes to be covered by the policy.
